  • The Henry Fork Service Center will participate in the USDA Summer Food Service Program, and will provide breakfast from 9:00-9:45 and lunch from 12:00-1:15.  Students will eat as their vans come in for breakfast, and will eat lunch with their classes.  The menu includes kid-friendly foods and foods grown in the raised garden beds on campus.
  • We want to get our students moving this summer, so students in 2nd grade – Middle School will be hiking and swimming one day each week.  Preschool and K-1 students will swim in the small pools up top, and will go hiking at the Rec Park and Waid Park.  Please plan to send your child with a swim suit at least one day each week.
  • Students will also be learning about our area of the country.  During music week, the students will learn and perform songs led by a team from the York River District in Eastern VA.  During craft week, the students will make a picture quilt, make “tacky” pillows, and create chairs and other wood-working items.  During sports weeks the children will learn skills for many different sports, and during Outdoors week the students will make s’mores over an open fire.
  • Work Teams bring Vacation Bible School, songs, games, stories, and art.  VBS allows our youth to participate with other youth in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
